Duke of York's Fowler

This gun was auctioned off during the sale of the personal belongings of the second eldest son of King George III, Frederick Augustus. Known as the Duke of York, Frederick Augustus was the commander in chief of all British military forces in Europe during the wars between Britain and France. It was under Frederick Augustus that Wellington fought Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815. The Duke of York's Fowler can be seen at the NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia.

This fowler was owned by Frederick Augustus, Duke of York and son of King George III of England.
