Dwight D. Eisenhower's Shotgun

Presented by the NRA National Firearms Museum

One of the underside of the receiver are the initials DDE and five gold stars. The initials stand for Dwight David Eisenhower while the stars represent the highest rank of the U.S. Military, General of the Army. President Eisenhower was given this gun by a friend, Robert Woodruff, president of Coca-Cola. Engraved on the buttstock was a plaque that read; “To a straight shooter, from a friend." The Dwight D. Eisenhower Shotgun can seen at the NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia.

This gun was presented "to a straight shooter [Eisenhower] from a friend [Robert Woodruff]."
