Remington Rolling Block Rifle

Presented by the NRA National Firearms Museum

This Nimschke-engraved rifle was awarded as a prize by the NRA in early rifle competitions at Creedmoor Range. The silver butt plate bears the inscription, "Won in three matches of the NRA by D. Barclay, 1876." Later, in 1957, it became the first firearm to be donated to the NRA museum collection. The Remington Rolling Block Rifle can be seen at the NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia.
