The Springfield 1911 pistol is what America took to many a war. Hundreds of thousands of these guns were produced — it was the most popular sidearm of the early 1900s and was sold to NRA members at the Camp Perry National Matches. But what makes this particular gun so unique is the engraving on the right-hand side: NRA. The Springfield Armory NRA 1911 pistol can be seen at the NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia.
