Theodore Roosevelt's Rifle

Presented by the NRA National Firearms Museum

America’s 26th president, Theodore Roosevelt, was a vastly accomplished man. A politician, soldier, conservationist, author and naval strategist, he was arguably most happy when hunting. Following his presidency, Roosevelt went on safari for a year and this .450-caliber Fred Adolph double rifle was given to him on his return. It’s engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath and bears the presidential seal on both barrels. It was presented to the NRA National Firearms Museum by Roosevelt’s family, and is now on exhibit at the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum in Springfield, Missouri.
