An Election Message From NRA CEO and EVP Doug Hamlin

I could not be prouder to be the CEO and EVP of your National Rifle Association. We did it. All of us. Even though election returns are still coming in, and not every vote has been counted, it is clear to everyone that freedom won yesterday. It’s even more clear that NRA members won. And won big. NRA members made the difference in this historic election.

Thanks to a strategy planned and executed by NRA-ILA Executive Director Randy Kozuch and his staff, we will see Chuck Schumer fired as Senate Majority Leader in January, and we will watch a solid pro-Second Amendment majority sworn into the United States Senate.

You should all know what that means. It means the Biden-Harris-Walz radical anti-gun agenda goes nowhere. It means anti-Second Amendment justices are unlikely to be seated on the U.S. Supreme Court. It means, come January, the federal government will no longer be wrongly weaponized against law-abiding gun owners. And that’s not even the biggest story from last night.

NRA has endorsed Donald J. Trump three times for the Presidency of the United States. He was on the cover of every NRA member magazine this month. The choice could not have been clearer. The Second Amendment, our very freedom, was on the ballot. NRA members stepped up and delivered freedom a victory like no other.

NRA members’ and gun owners’ votes returned this patriotic American to the White House. He has stood with us, spoken face-to-face with record numbers of NRA members at our Annual Meetings, and he has defended the Second Amendment Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Through his Supreme Court appointments, he strengthened a court that finally recognized what we all knew--that the Second Amendment applies inside your home and out—President Trump has stood with the members of the NRA. We congratulate our 45th--and soon-to-be 47th—President of the United States NRA Life Member Donald J. Trump.

But I also want to thank you - every dues-paying NRA member. You played a role in this incredible victory. It was hard work to get our nation to where it is today, and there’s plenty more hard work ahead. It’s what we do every day.

Defend the 2nd.
